Wasn’t July the longest month in 2020? At least for me it was, the longest, the most eventful, the warmest.
its Thursday, I am at my studio table having my second cup of coffee, just woke up form an afternoon nap. I was reviewing the month and planning august earlier this morning and I just couldn’t believe we still have on more day till it’s over.
What happened in July?
My baby boy turned one! And this is the highlight of my month with no doubt. I spent the first week decorating Daniel’s room, painitng him a mural which you might have already seen in my Instagram feed or my youtube channel. Coming up for a theme for a small birthday gathering for both him and my husband, who also have his birthday in the same week. We basically spent the first week celebrating and eating lots of cake. I however, spent the whole month celebrating it feels, celebrating my first year of motherhood, of being daniel’s mama, of learning and growing and becoming stronger that I have ever imagined. I will leave the rest for a separate blogpost I think.
I put off tutorial writing for July for several reasons, I now have a new phone which I only got about three days ago, my old phone’s camera got broke so for the most of the month I just couldn’t use it while writing or editing the footage obviously. Also, I spent most of my work time doing personal panting, creating content and planning for classes as I plan to get back be back to teaching and giving classes in August.
Been drawing a bit with charcoal and pencils, which is so relaxing especially with the fact the it takes way less time in preparing and afterward cleaning, no mess only dirty hands.
Did a few more sketchy stories, scrolling through my camera roll and previous outings looking for new things to sketch and paint makes me so happy, Also a great way to experiment and paint various subject matters. New sketchy stories including scenery.
So much is going on on a personal level but to write everything will take me ages and I can see my baby starting to wake up through the monitor, so I think I will leave it here for today keeping it an art related update.
