Rim Abbadi is a full time artist and art teacher born in 91′ and raised in Jordan, based in Istanbul. She started her art career as an art teacher back in 2014 , teaching and holding private workshops and classes. After she moved to Turkey she continued the same path next to opening her own art gallery. Rim is Known for her impressionistic painting style that lacks realistic details and focuses on vibrant colors.
Rim participated in multiple group exhibitions in Jordan 2014 and Dubai in 2016 and 2018.
She published her own art book called ” Simple painting” in 2021.
Concerning the tools she uses, she works with a variety of mediums including watercolors, acrylic and oils, often on large surfaces, mostly using a very restricted color palette depending on the three primary colors and some earthy tones only.
Her work is greatly connected to her writings, and often have reflection of the details around. very influenced by nature and feelings, she consider herself an expressive artist. Her biggest inspiration is music and nature .
in May 2022, Rim opened her own studio “euphoria sanat atolyesi” and gallery located in Kadikoy distrect in Istanbul, where she showcases her latest art works and hold weekly painting classes and workshops.
“I find inspiration in the way sun light spreads its rays to lighten up the world every morning. Im inspired by the sound of trees swaying in the wind, shadows of moving clouds, raindrops on window shield and the beautiful blurry views behind them. I am inspired by bookstores and empty notebooks and stories told by random strangers. i am inspired by long walks with my husband and moved by support of my family. I am inspired by motherhood and everything I taught throught the eyes of my son. In other words, I get inspired quickly and deeply.” – Rim Abbadi
