Day 17
I finally did it, I unboxed the famouse picasso sennelier box of oil pastels that has been setting on my desk for two weeks now. I bought as a new year gift for myself, it is very precious set that I have had an eye on for almost a year now, i finally got it and I just felt so intimidated to use it. But today was the day and it feels as amazing as I imagine it would be. The texture, the vibrancy of the colors, the ability to built layers with these pastels is just soo so so satisfying. For today I picked a simple still life of a book and a chair, with complemantry background.
Day 18
It was coloring and designing phase, I was aiming for vintage look vase and bohemian Mediterranean style pots, let’s see how that will turn out after firing.
Day 19
We Went on a small family getaway, we found a little minivan in the side of the road, I used to be obsessed with these hippie vans when I was a teenager, and it was in my favorite color too, I just had to sketch it.
Day 20
Today was a very busy day, I had zero energy and I think it shown in my choice of colors, I thought of something that excites me like and calms me down and the first thing that came to my mind was a good book and vase of fresh flowers.
Day 21
I think I will start a ” house in the middle of nowhere” kind of collection. a house where nothing extraordinary happens, a house rooted in simplicity and slowing down, one that gathers all good memories and warm smells and echos of stories and laughters, surrounded by nature and empty landscapes.
Day 22
Another house, with lots of layers and colors, I am just in love with the way the sky turned out, the blending, the shade of this hopeful blue, Perfect for my taste.
Day 23
My husband asked me to make an antique, minimalist 8cm coffee mug for him, so here it is.
